Today I’m selling this beautiful Omega Cosmic triple date moon phase CK2471 from the 1940's. These are amongst my favourite Omegas to collect due to the many interesting dial variations to be found under the same reference numbers and the difficulty in finding nice original examples.

The two-tone cream dial has raised dot indices, gilt arabics and a blue date chapter ring and has developed a charming and even patina. This is an early dial with the printed Omega logo and text. The golden leaf hands with blue seconds pointer are also in good condition. The stars/moon disk has a nice brown hue which is very helpful when it comes to picking out a complimentary leather strap.

The steel case is in good shape whilst most importantly for this reference the curved lugs and bezel have retained their sharp distinctive finish. The unsigned crown and date setting pushers are functioning perfectly. The case back is signed 2471/1

Running a cal 27DLCP with a serial number in the 10.9 million range which ties in with around 1948 or so. The movement is running well, winding and setting very smoothly with the English calendar and moon phase functions operating as they should. I have not had the watch serviced in the few years of my ownership

I’ve fitted this to a period brown leather band which looks perfect having just the right fit and feel for this watch.

€3350 net to me will include worldwide Track & Trace shipping. Payment by bank transfer or PayPal for well established forum members only.

Unnecessary and Unfair Listing ! So far it was a very nice, late summer Friday evening .... And now ? Ruined. Have to look up my internet banking. Sleep pattern in doubt. Pls. refrain from doing this on a Weekend ! Monday would have been fine....
