·Good luck with your quest, I'd keep the moon phase disk as is, it has faded to a very nice brown colour.
Incidentally I also have a steel 2471 with a solid gold bezel which was originally bought in South America. I've not seen many at all like this and now wonder if it wasn't actually a variant specifically for this market. I have a steel crown and it looks great, I think a gold crown wouldn't look so good at all.
