Omega constellation ref 168.004 is it original

Hello there kazd here again , and another constellation , I’m curious if it is original dial , funny is how the crown on this one is completely hidden almost flush recessed in the case , is this correct on this ref,# 168.004 also marking letters SGR thank you for your possible input and oh it needs new crystal , no big deal, good evening everyone, kazd

Same here it probably blew out the bandwidth. Hoping it didn't impact the Space Shuttle.

Looks entirely original.
These constellations were known as ‘hidden crown’ constellations because their crowns were flush to the case.
It was their USP in the Omega line-up.
Looks great but almost impossible to use to wind the watch.

The soft edged pie pan might be a pie pan dial but it may also be a dome dial painted to look like a pie pan dial.
Omega used a trompe l’oeil effect on some .004s to replicate a pie pan dial.

Ok - so this got me thinking.
I’m a proponent of the concept that only dome dials have cross hairs that travel to the edge of the dial, whilst cross hairs on pie pans only extend to the edge of the central plain.

We can see that the first example (faux pie pan) has cross hairs that extend to the edge of the dial ie a dome dial.

On your example above the cross hairs only extend to the edge of the inner plain- therefore, there is every chance that it is indeed a pie pan dial
