@Zayn A.
You need to slow down and take your time.
This is an atrocious watch.
Fake dial
Heavily polished case ( not sure if it is genuine)
Wrong crown
Mash up movt
Wrong case back. ( for a date version)
There’s nothing to feel bad about, Zayn. All the members here are giving you good advice. We’re more than willing to help you, but it’s important that you educate yourself. Otherwise, you’ll never acquire the knowledge and judgment to make an informed purchase of a good vintage watch. Just hang around at OF and learn. There will always be vintage watches available for purchase. It’s not a race. 😀
I'm glad you're writing this @Peemacgee. I wasn't sure, either. The finishing on the inside of the case back, but also the medallion look fishy to me.
you're quite right @iamvr
the perlaging in the case back is wrong
Whilst SGR used various styles of engravings, the turned circles should be interlocking, like this 168.005
For a few moments this thread made me feel really good because I identified a lot of errors - but then I scrolled down and saw how obvious it was 😁
@Zayn A. I hope the feedback doesn't hold you back from staying active on the forum. But with the blogs shared in the previous posts, and you'll start spotting some of these things yourself.
