As is fairly typical of this sellers watches the case is a bit over polished. Having lost the crispness to both the lugs and bezel.

Yes, not only that, also typical of this seller (sadly) is that he fits new Swiss made (but incorrect) hands as he has here. They look nice and shiny, but are of the one-size fits all variety :(

Yes it is possible, the one in the recommended thread now shows that.

That's a very healthy budget to get a nice watch. For example, this one ended for less than that (I wasn't the winner unfortunately!):

No. The seller is at least telling you it is a frankenwatch.

The dial is from an earlier model and the crown is a replacement.

    I would move on.

That was mine, the buyer just pulled out because he didn't like the strap on it! This is why I despise eBay!

Missing the observatory medallion on the case back, wrong movement for the case reference. Steer clear.

It is nice, though, that the seller actually disclosed these details. Most franken-sellers are far less noble.

Does anyone have a list of ebay sellers or could recommend one that seems to sell correct omega's /constellations?

Just be patient, keep looking and ask questions here. Fortune favors the bold, but it also punishes the impatient ;)

Yes, if you are patient and follow the "Recommended Vintage Omega Watches" Sticky thread, one will turn up for you to nail it.
