Hi guys, I´m considering the purchase of an omega constellation, I already checked the reference on the omega vintage site, and everything looks Ok with the reference, but the dial. Do you think is Authentic? P.S. Thanks a lot to all members that answer on my last thread about longines conquest calendar dials and fish logo, was really helpful for me as a begginer vintage watch passionate.
Not an expert but I have my doubts on the 'A' in 'Automatic', the top isn't plateau-ed and the last 'n' in 'Constellation', the curve isn't upwards enough. Could be camera distortions though.
I see and looking at other images, you are right this is probably a redial, so not original dial for this watch.
http://omega-constellation-collectors.blogspot.ca/ This is a great resource if you're looking to verify anything about constellations.
Now I´m looking at an old bumper automatic 344, and also everything looks good, but the dial is different from the omega vintage page, I wonder if this is the original dial, probably not. What do you think? Reference is 2636 then image is not clear.
Connie is definately a redial... Edit: Sorry, that was too fast, I'm not familiar with this early reference, please wait for a specialists opinion (Still have to learn a lot myself )
I was referring to the watch in the opening post (OP), yes the Constellation, however other watch you posted also has an excellent dial. People can over analyse them into redials as much as they like but they are fine
Hi, I just notice that the dial on the 344 has arrows over the seconds circle, I guess that is also a mistake.
Yes of course, let me find the ad and conform the price, if I don't decide to buy, I'll send you the info, thanks for your response : )
