I was slightly confused where I should post my first post. It’s still vintage? It come from the end of 1997.

It is, it was based at Piaget 1270 and many brands have used it.

    Happy Easter! ;) 072197A2-92BB-43E7-86DE-3DB487C5BD9A.jpeg

LOL I hope it does become 'collectable' as i have one which is why I am here. On my watch specifically the chronometer hand when zeroed doesn't return to the 12 o'clock position, is there a way to adjust zeroing or must i return it to Omega? Picture attached showing issue. Thank you.

Maybe You just need to correct the hands position. Is chrono working normally?

LOL In fact the sweep chrono hand fell off its stem and i just spent quite a bit at a local shop to have it reattached and positioned at 12 o clock. The chrono function is working as it should except for the zeroing or reset

Ok, so you probably need to narrow the funnel and place the hand correct. That’s job for watchmaker, don’t send it for Omega. It’ll be too expensive. Find watchmaker in Your city(with good opinions).

I ve read there are ways to reset non zeroing hands by using the top/bottom pusher in a specific order. Is it possible with this Omega, do you know? I dont have the owners manual which may even have directions for doing so within. Anyone know? Thank you!

Not on this watch. One most modern quartz chronograph movements, the chronograph mechanism is powered by individual motors for each hand - those can be "zeroed" by a sequence of crown positions and pressing buttons.

This watch is a quartz base movement with a mechanical chronograph attached essentially. The only way to "zero" the hands are how you would do it on a mechanical chronograph - the hand has to be removed and installed again, properly lined up.

If the hand is not staying in place, the best option would be to replace it.

    Cheers, Al
