If I were in an old watch shop and that watch was offered to me at a reasonable price, I would have bought it as well.

The case appears to have very good definition including the medallion, and if not for the crack in the dial i would have thought it was new old stock.
i'm sorry but the translator was wrong! the watch is new! it has never been used has no scratch on either the glass or the box! there are only these small crackers in the vernins !! of the display that you only see when you feed the photo ,,, otherwise you don’t see ... I just wanted to know more about it because I didn’t find any pictures on this display!

Thank you

@Nuno Graça - please, PLEASE post in English! If you want help, make it possible for people to read what you are writing without having to translate it. Very poor form.

Anyway, lovely watch. @tdn-dk has one similar - the lacquer cracking is very common on these colourful versions.

The watch was built in the late 1960s or 1970s. It seems to be unused, and is in very very good condition.

If you buy it, it will need to be serviced (lubrication).

It's very nice and in fine condition, but not unused in my opinion. There are some noticeable scratches and dings on the front, and the back is clearly polished. I'm not trying to criticize the watch, but I just think that the terms "NOS" and "unused" get thrown around too much, even when they are obviously not true.

Fair comment. Overly enthusiastic, me.

Yes. On closer look i do see the dings and scratches to the case. The tip of 5 o'clock lug looks like it's been roughened up a bit, too. Would be interesting to see the inside cover for any watchmaker marks. But still very nice and in fine condition as pointed out.

I am not a specialist but it seems there was some rotor rub which can not be seen on the caseback (polished?) Although the movement looks good. Case shows some minor dingue and caseback is defentely polished

It is definetly not NOS but you got yourself a connie in a very good condition for what seems to be a good price! And a pretry rare dial which looks very cool in my opinion.

Thanks ️ to everyone for your comments that I thank you very much,

Well, as I say, I don't know anything about watches ,,, and said that the watch is new because the owner of the store where I bought it told me that he had found it forgotten in a box in a drawer along with other watches in his father's watch ! ,,,

I add some more pictures of the interior that I took this morning when I went to take the watch to do a review to a watchmaker that they indicated to me.

I am grateful then that with these more photos your openião that I really appreciate ,,,,

Thank you

I bought it last week for 300 € along with a box from Omega that is in the photos I don't know if I paid too much or too little for it ??? ,,, the review will be between 80 € and 100 € for what the watchmaker told me here in my country ,,,

I hope it was a good entry in the Omega watches?

nuno as you said you know nothing about watches so if people here tell you that the watch is NOT NOS then take it for granted cause here you can find very knowledgeable people who can help and know more than you or me!

Better believe what those people say than believe someone who just wants to sell you a watch telling you it’s nos....

wear it in good health! If you are disappointed it’s not a NOS watch I can buy it if you want! Just send me a message!

€300 is an absolute steal for your watch, it is probably worth 3 times that amount.

Just make sure you get a decent service by someone who appreciates vintage watches.
No polishing of the case!
It should cost around €200

thank you ,,.

I took him to do the review in a master watchmaker who taught for 50 years in a watchmaking school in Lisbon.

I love watches and this is the first Omega I bought!

I have other Omegas but they are from a family that claimed my father and grandfather ,,, most of them with box and purchase papers.

I take them to this watchmaker every six years to do the review, although I only use them once in a while .....

but thank you very much for your information ...

Skipper I have no doubt that the information given here in this Forum about this watch is true and I am very happy to have given me all this information without knowing me

it is good to have this forum to help us know what we buy or intend to buy from friendly watches mainly for people like me who don't understand anything about old watches but like them ,,,,

I usually only buy new watches and almost always Rolex in steel (Daytona, GMT and Submariner) I have already bought them for 30 years in an AD in my country that when one of them comes out, always get me the colors I ask for.

this Omega is worth as much to me as all the others I bought regardless of whether it's new or not! and I am very happy with him ....

this is the first of many Omegas I intend to have ,,,

Thank you very much
