Hi everybody. I would appreciate if you help out with my first Constellation. Yesterday I fond this piece 1 hour driving from my home town. The seller told me that his grampa got the watch in Milan new back in the 60s. So family own since. The watch has been serviced in 2015 they swap the glass with a new one but still has the original. (receipt present) . Box & original guarantee present. Asking price 3000 euros. Is this a good all original collector piece? The photos are a bit blurry but i can see both hour and minute hand have turned black. Is this a problem.? Many thanks again.
Maybe bought 1961, but produced circa 1958 or so. Don’t send it to Omega for service! Original to my eyes, with moldy lume. Nice example and 18kt as a big bonus in this style. Most pix appear to show it being yellow gold. Is this true in hand? One pix looks rose gold, an even bigger bonus if true in hand. Even correct crown. Movement appears very nice, I don’t even see much if any rotor wear, bonus! Screw heads very nice! Enjoy
It looks to me like the lume has been added later to a non-lume 2853 Deluxe. The lumed hands are also too long and incorrect.
The hands are black because they have been replaced with incorrect (too long) lumed hands when some vandal added the blobs of lume at 12,3,6&9 (Possibly radium) Cross post with @cristos71
