hi OF,

some expertise help and advise needed

recently i acquired a second omega constellation and found out the second one has a bigger crown than the first. i searched on the internet and found that both crown existed. does anyone can confirm if this reference indeed has 2 version of crown? or one of the crown is not correct for this reference?

below are some images of my 168027 crown. any info would be appreciated, thanks in advance ☺️

Hrm... I can't really say for sure (or even close to it), but to me it just seems odd for a specific reference to have two different crown versions.

Looking back at my past one I would say it probably had the bigger of these - but it's harder to tell without a side-by-side comparison.

Hi @godsrival , I believe there are a few differences between crowns for the same model of watch Omega made throughout the years.

Another example: clover crowns. There are many different types of clover crowns and they differ slightly on diameter, thickness and on the logo. Here is a shot where one from the actual 50s sits next to a more modern one. They are considered however to be both correct clover crowns for references like the 2577, 2767 or 2846 etc but some would prefer a vintage crown from the 50s with a flat foot Omega logo over the other one. It is a matter of taste, almost.

In this case I believe both are correct for a ref. 168.027. FYI there is also another correct variant for these Connies, which is a scalloped crown. Not 100% sure if that applies to ref. 167.027 but on 168.017 for sure it does.

My 168.017 says hi.

Edit: wrong spelling.

hi @AJF and @Rudi99 thanks for your input

interesting opinion regarding omega have different crown model throughout the years as i also have another case. recently i just acquired an omega constellation 14393. The crown on the 14393 sligthly differ from my 2652. both crown dimension is similar (diameter 5mm and thickness around 3mm) but the design is a bit different. check out below picture

my worry is aftermarket crown. i have no experience in omega aftermarket crown as i never seen one myself 😀

btw @Rudi99 awesome 168017 you got there 👍
