Hey Guys - This is not asking for advice on these watches. Just wanted to get people's thoughts on which reference people like better and why.

I lean more towards the 168.005 due to the dog legs, crown, and bezel. Looking forward to see what people think!

Top, every day of the week!
The overall form is more unique and makes it more interesting for me.

I strongly prefer the lyre lugs over both of those.

The 005 is infinitely more popular than the 004 or 010 (which are very, very, similar to each other).

However, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. - and don't let anyone tell you differently.
I do like my 005s and I do like my pie pans - however, given the choice I would go for a dome dial first and very much prefer the simple elegance of an 004 or 010 dome dial. (that goes for doglegs also)

BTW - the hidden crown on the 004 and 010 (whilst an absolute PITA to use) adds to the overall simple aesthetic of these watches (but its not the end of the world if it has the more-pronounced replacement crown (like the one you show above)

The lesser-desirability of the 004/010 does have an upside, I'm that you should be able to get a decent one for a much better price than a dogleg.

Really good points, agree 100% it is all preference.

dog legs 100% out of these two. Starting to really like the lyre lug style after picking one up recently. Completely different fit on the wrist.

Would you say larger, smaller, or just different?

To me, they feel and look larger on the wrist
Oh wow nice to know. I have a 7 3/4 in wrist so that definitely helps a bit. Although due to the small bezels I think these watches wear larger than 34/35/36mm

Even though it is only 0.5mm larger - The 010 wears largest on the wrist over doglegs and lyre lugs.
This, due to 19mm lug spacing and dial/bezel relationship.

I really dislike the lugs in the 010. Reminds me of a Deville case, not my personal style.

Dogleg-pie-pan is my favorite, not a fan of Lyre lugs or the dome at all. Though, I ALSO prefer the date, so sue me.

Might be an unpopular opinion but I prefer the date as well!

I could really go for an empty stainless steel dog leg case ( and dial) at the moment. Poor homeless 564.

Normally I prefer lyre lugs.

No preference on date vs no date. Date watches seem to have been popular and often are cheaper than no date. It gets to the point where no date watches tend to feel naked. Not that I bother with setting the date.

Prefer quickset to non quickset. They are a lot of fun, although there is a lot what can go wrong with them.

Dog legs are nice, and for sure one of the most interesting visually to look at, but IMO aren't the most wearable. My SS 168.005 often sits unworn - too smart for casual, but not the classiest for formal. Perhaps a solid gold/gold capped example, a black dial etc, would work better for formal.

Lyre > straight > dog.

I like all of the various lugs for Constellations, but for me none of them are as comfortable as Seamasters "fat" lugs or my favorite from the thick straight lugs from the Ranchero.
