Hi everyone. Having been looking for my first Vintage Onega and been toing and froing between a Seamaster and a Constellation. I came across this 561 caliber Constellation from 1962 I'd like your thoughts on this please. The owner says it is all original and has not been redone in any way. I've not a picture of the movement currently but will do prior to any purchase. Thanks.
Case lugs are soft due to polishing, dial has degraded not in attractive way so value is not high. Pictures of movement and inside caseback needed to verify condition and appropriateness of dial as T is borderline for 62 model.
Looks pretty OK to me and it also looks like it has rose gold hands and markers which gives a little more cachet. As has been said it isn´t a perfect example but I would say that depending on the movement, and the price of course, it could be a nice first vintage.
Thanks for the replies. I did notice that the dial had degraded somewhat but it's difficult trying to be patient in waiting for a perfect example of one to arise
Currently it's at 500 euros on the bay. Looking at completed listings the value seems to vary dramatically on Constellations
Values vary according to model and condition, I think the watch you have posted will sell on Ebay for between 650 and 750 Euros. I would personally not pay that and think the 500 Euros that it is now at is all its money.
