I got a 60s constellation 167.021 with cal. 712, it has a special grey crosshatch dial, white logo and different shape cutting index with burgundy top (see attached), it is rare, till now I only find one exactly the same at chrono24, do you know this dial is original fm omega? Plls share your comment. Tks!

When I wrote about this reference here: https://stories.omegaforums.net/the-constellation-cal-712-ultra-thin-167-021-chronometer/

I did note a crosshatch grey dial but without burgundy furniture, just grey dial and black furniture. Its similar to yours but it was the only example I could find at the time so I didn’t include it.

Given how similar they are it might well be that the crosshatch grey option is an original pattern, the burgundy tops though are a really odd touch, not without precedent but very odd regardless.

Hi Dsio, thanks for your input, great to learn fm your photo that is the same index cutting style as mine, because I didn't find this type index cutting shape at the common 167
021 as below

Indeed, this was why I didn’t include the one posted above as the dial furniture, while the same shape as yours is totally different from the others which resemble a surface mount resistor shape.

I would say with time we might see more of these grey dials and I’ll look forward to adding them once a sufficient sample size is collected. So far it’s two with burgundy tops and one with black, I’d like to see a couple more first just to have more data, but I feel they could both be correct.

Colored hour markers were used on other models of that era like the 166.041 with blue markers, there were other shades too so it’s possible.

Hi Cais,

Any comment on my this grey dial burgundy index,? I love it because it is ultra slim, to meet this, omega applied thin case, flat lugs, flat plexglass, stick hands. I think this special shape index make the index looks thinner than the common index shape, what do you think? Did you see this before?

Haven't seen the grey dial previously but then again I would have limited knowledge.

The crown looks different I think but not certain on your version compared to the example on C24, latter looks larger.
