Please excuse the pics...I usually do better, but this one was tough to photograph. Black dials are never easy and my DSLR has issues, so many of these pics are from the iphone. Dial: Simply wonderful "starfield" dial. Completely even patination and without flaws. Pics don't do it justice. Hands: Overall excellent, missing lume. Some of the old lume has flaked and can be seen on surface of the hands. This may appear as flaws in the pics, but I promise you they are not in the metal. Watchmaker could clean them in a few minutes if you wish. Also would be a very simple relume. They appear as nearly flawless when on the wrist. Crown: Original and with plating worn off of the outer surface. Please see photo. Case: Crisp and appears unpolished, but not absolutely certain as I don't have much experience with this style of "dogleg" lugged case. Gold cap is excellent without visible signs of wear. Caseback has scratch as outlined in pic. Movement: Looks nearly pristine. Please have it serviced if you plan on wearing it regularly as I have no idea of when this was last done. Date snaps smartly into place at 12:00 Strap: Doesn't look bad on this watch and it's yours if you want it. Fedex/Parcelpro in continental US is on me. Overseas will split shipping with buyer. $2000. Paypal friends or business and you pay tax. As always, thanks OF, for the space. Cheers, Todd Some sellers reviews: https://omegaforums.net/search/16694567/?q=tmw57&o=date&c[node]=10
That is kinda fascinating I haven’t seen those often. Very cool. I mean 2k is a lot of money for a watch (I just mean for normal people) but the prices I’m seeing on pie pans combined with the black dial it must really pop up to those who collect these things. Good friend of mine is really seeking a pie pan but I never asked his thoughts on a black one. I’ll forward this too him although I don’t think it will be hanging around long
