Dear fellow members of OF,

Today I would like to offer you a piece that I truly like but some life circumstances demand me to sell it and I would really like it to go to another OF member, as I got it from an established member myself.

There is another piece of mine for sale now (Seamaster ref. 2849) and the first of to go of the two will mean the other one will be kept.

This is a reference 14902 housing caliber 561. This is a great example of the design language of the 60s with Omega and it's case shape is often called "dogleg", showing sharp edges too. I believe this is a great specimen.

This one is obviously stainless steel with onyx indices and hands. The case shows signs of wear but absolutely no polishing and is still, as written above, very sharp. Crystal is also original, like the crown. Case measures 34,5mm.

The piepan dial is nice with an even light patina. The dials of the 14900 and 14902 references are in my opinion optically nicer since they have one less line of text. The spots seen on some fotos disappear depending on how the light reflects on it and are barely visible unless you hold the piece really close to the eye - Please see fotos for a better idea.

The bracelet is a correct 7-row BoR (beads of rice) also from the 60s. The bracelet is a bit on the short side though, being suitable for wrists measuring around 16,5 cm . One of the sides of the bracelet has no detachable link. Because of that, the watch was priced accordingly.

The movement runs and operates fine but it was not serviced in my possession, so I would recommend one sometime in the future. It still wounds and runs fine though at around -4 to -8 seconds a day. The fact that the watch still has this yellow gasket on the case and the general looks of if make me think it might have never seen a service since it left the factory. The movement shots were done by @seekingseaquest and were part of the previous sales add.

My asking price is €1840 net to me excluding shipping. I welcome a face to face deal, or a transaction through PayPal.

I am located in Germany and can ship almost everywhere. No returns unless terribly misrepresented.

Thank you OF for the space!

Rudi

...and a wristshot of course 😉
