Omega Constellation… fake?

I inherited this omega constellation, presumably 1996, from my grandfather. This is the first “omega” I have owned/seen. I typically own cheap and practical watches. I’ve looked on the Omega website and the constellation has a star under the name. I’m 99% sure this is a fake, but I wanted to confirm on here. Please let me know if this is a fake, and if so is there an unwritten rule about wearing fake omegas/watches? Just curious.

Looks good to me. I think it's a 396.1070 variant. Look them up on Google. Please get a watch guy to open the back of the watch and all the information that you need will be on the watch movement and the inside of the case back. Good luck.
