Hi, was wondering if anyone has retrofit an Omega clasp onto the Uncle Seiko 1450 President bracelet? If so, any help with an item number? I did see recommendations on a different thread for the 1171 bracelet, but am not sure those solutions would work? Any help is greatly appreciated! Cheers

Not much of a response so I've ordered and am going to try a 1162/173 clasp and see if that works. For anyone else who might be interested, I'll report back once I've received it. Stay tuned...

Does any know know if the new 3861 Speedy clasp fit on their bracelet? Or a genuine 1450 for that matter?

Looks good in my head..

On the Uncle Seiko page for this bracelet they say:

[PLEASE NOTE: The US1450 will not fit the new Speedmaster 3861.]

Sorry.

I hope that this my question is not off base or insulting to anyone, and don't want to thread highjack, but why do you want to do this? I have a handful of @Uncle Seiko 's bracelets and all are working fine and doing what they are supposed to do but I don't want to pass them off as Omega bracelets. I am happy to give credit where due for a great product, but also have no desire to project something that it is not.

To put this in perspective I own and wear a couple of franken-speedies, but they are mixed up OEM factory items, and I would never suggest that they are "real". I have several modified Seiko watches but these do not pretend to look like anything from their factory.

Am I just being a hypocrite? Happy to sit in that bucket......I am genuinely curious and looking forward to replies.

Personally, I just like the Omega clasp better though there is not much difference. I'm not trying to pass it off for being something that it's not at all. In my world, zero people care about what is on my wrist - it's just for me. I know it might be blasphemy, but I have a Grand Seiko that I use an Omega strap and deployant clasp on just because I like them better than the Grand Seiko offerings. Not that anyone ever sees it, but I like the polished look of the Omega clasp inner pieces over the kinda dull looking Uncle Seiko version (see picture). No offense to Uncle Seiko as it is a great bracelet. And, here's a pic of the SM300 - a Watchco version.

Yea. I saw that part but I was wondering if the clasp and end links of the 3861 can be Frankenstein onto the Uncle Seiko/Forster/Omega 1450 bracelet.
