New arrival 😀

Omega CK2444, cal. 30T2 from ca. 1944.

Got it cleaned up and a new crystal, runs but could need a service 😀

Found this strap that looks like a A.F. 0210, is it a repro?

Tried the geiger on the lumen and it has one of the highest Radium readings I have measured yet.

No notice the tip on this one, it has the rounded tip, that is dipped in something.

Yes, have other Omega with a lot of radium and none of them have so readings.

Should be in a lead box 😀

Re the strap, Geo mentioned in the above pictured article did remake the straps in a fabric with a weave that looked like that, with the end dipped in dope, it could be one of those. I have one, I will dig it out and see if it looks the same.

That's the chap. In some ways I prefer his strap to the faithful AF0210, the buckle and tang are less fiddly to use and I like the doped end, but obviously they aren't as 'authentic' to the original. Both good straps.
