Hi, Been looking for decent chronostop for a while. Overall this 145.009 (I assume) - Genéve - 865 Movement looks great, but do you guys think that there should be small lume dots on the markers? Dial looks extremely clean which makes me believe that those dots were never there? Thanks for your help
I would expect to see the dots, as the 12 o'clock marker is lumed as it should. Here are two Geneve dials I have for reference
There should absolutely be lume plots! Many of the Chronostops I see for sale are missing these these models should have them...lathough I can never tell if they were touched up or "added" to replace missing ones. Here was my first 145.009 (dial was gorgeous!) and my current (driver) 145.010.
They do have a tendency to fall off though as one or two of mine have fallen off my chronostop dial, though they should still leave some faint remnants of lume having been there. I inspected my dial with a handheld microscope as i thought that some of my lume dots seemed bigger than others.
I got a Chronostop as well - for a quite reasonable price It has, however, also dial issues: the dial is somehow grimey and "patinated "(see pictures) the remains of the lume plots are visible on most hour markers.
I have never encountered a chronostop without these lume pips. Also, note the dial says 't-swiss made-t' which usually indicates that there should be lume on the dial. Here are a couple of photographs of some chronostops I have had. (all different references, all with lume)
