Having done a lot of research before purchasing my 1948 Centenary (which involved creating The Table), I got interested in the topic of Omega case serial numbers along the way. According to the information in omega-fanatic.com, they seem to begin in 1894 at 1,000,000 and end in the 1940s by which time the number series was in the 10,xxx,xxx range.

But it seems that they were in fact used into the 1950s with the numbers then being in the 11,xxx,xxx series. Here is a Seamaster 14k 2627 case with a 11,140,497 serial number -

The movement number on this watch is 12,9xx,xxx, which dates it to 1951 so the watch itself may well be 1952 or even '53. Has anyone seen later case serial numbers in the 11,xxx,xxx range? I assume that there is no such thing as a 12,xxx,xxx case number. It also seems to me that these case numbers were used on solid gold cases long after they had ceased to be used on steel or gold-capped cases, is this correct?
