Upon my graduation from the University of Maryland in 1972, my parents gifted me with an Omega 1020. It is a three hander with silver face and steel band. I have not worn it for a very long time, having replaced twenty years ago with a Seamster and later, an Oris TT1.

The 1020 is a very nice Day/Date watch and i am wearing it for the first time in forty years. Can anyone tell me about this model and any experience you have had with it, One reason I am wearing now is that I am not a diver and don't
need a flashy watch.
thanks, M C Blum. [email protected]

Omega 1020? is this the caliber reference?
would it be possible to have pictures of your watch?

Hopefully you're wearing it after it has had a service. The 1020 is a fast-beat and without proper lubrication can beat itself to death.

It looks like you are indicating the caliber number of the movement, not the reference number of the watch. There are many references/models with a cal 1020, so it is difficult to comment. Can you show photos?
