my first post, sorry if it is the wrong place

i have been offered this piece for 800euros

The backcase is seriously damaged ref 188.016 my question is, if its possible to fix or get a new one, i have searched everywhere for at new backcase bit cant find any.

is it worth 800euros even with the dammaged backcase. He has lowered his asking Price by 70euros

    Welcome @Johnjohn
The reference is 168.016 and in 60s Constellation collectible terms these watches are pretty much at the bottom of the pile.
For no other reason than they haven’t begun to be appreciated yet (and some find the day/date dial too busy.)
The good news is that, if you like this style, with a bit of patience you can find yourself a really good example in tip-top condition for a lot less money.
So, no need to settle for a damaged example like this one.

If you like this case style also check out:
    168.004
    168.010
    168.018
