Incoming 2652 with this movement, would like to hear some thoughts from OF...

Some rust pitting (on the mainspring barrel), rusty screw head, regulator fully engaged, did I miss something?

Thank you!

Some wear on back edge of rotor. If you turn watch face up. Does the rotor drop?

Ratchet wheel and rotor screw can be replaced if you want

Hi DON, thank you so much!

Watch came in today, rotor doesn't drop as far as I can hear/feel

I mistook the barrel with the ratchet wheel, thanks for clarifiying that.

Movement is running good and the watch looks beautiful 🥰

The regulator position isn't a sign of health, its a sign of a lazy watchmaker these days. That regulator is a 'fine adjust' only. You adjust the regulator the 'normal' way, then can use that for the last little bit.

I typically just 'center' that style, then adjust to where I want it with the normal regulator arm. IF I get overly frustrated, I'll use the arm to adjust the last few seconds/day, but I can usually do that with the regulator arm alone and a time-grapher.

IMO, those fine-adjust regulators were only really useful when we were adjusting time before timegraphers (or perhaps, before MODERN timegraphers). At that point, when your 'cycle' time was pretty long, presumably being able to do a few turns of a screwdriver, then re-checking over a long period of time was useful, but these days, my 'cycle' time on adjusting is a few seconds, so I can just nudge the arm and re-check as much as I want in a few minutes.
