Hi, im awaiting movement shots but am if amything looks off about this dial, case, handset? Seller asking $1500 usd
Boy those oldies are hard!. All I dare say is that the dial looks too good. Was it kept in a freezer?.
It is a bit off center. But it could be that the watch is not perpendicular to the camera. We need more pics!
the dial and movement do not belong to this case. This is SC case model and the movement isn't SC. The hands are too short. Omega font is different from original. Much space between "O" and "M"; inclined "E"; "E" should be shiftet more to the right. But nice dial! Anyway I like it!
Don't forget, this watch is too dirty and will need be serviced. The case should be cleaned from rust. The asking price is too high for unserviced watch.
Dirty movement, immaculate dial. Just asking myself whether those two things fit together. Edited To Add - have just seen the last three posts!
Aside from the other comments, my first impression was of a redial. I did my usual "red lines" to divide the dial for analysis. While this is not always foolproof due to angles and shooting positions, the lines can be positioned accurately enough to provide a guide. I definitely vote a late redial on this one.
if it's a redial, it's a beautiful one ! Temprus is right this should be at least a case back for a movement with central second , it seems a bit expensive for a watch that is not 100% original, but i like it !
Dial is refinished. It is neatly done, but not accurately done. Not an SC movement, as pointed out. While the Ω is vintage appearing, its shape is not correct. Too bulbous in shape at top.
This is an aftermarket dial, not a refinished one. They were sold at a watch trader show some time ago...
Awesome, thank you all That dial finally makes sense... One to avoid ... but I will have to hunt for one with that dial layout and numeral style...
This one currently for sale at a prominent London dealership. The details of the dial are a bit lacking
One item that stands out to me on these aftermarket dials is the brushed look of the center area. Seems way too "grainy" for an original dial. Most of the original dials I've seen have a smooth appearance. Maybe the difference between lacquer and no lacquer?
