Hello all, I have recently acquired an smp 300 with cal 1120, just wondering based on your experiences if the watch is in need of a service?
Pictures attached and thanks in advance.

I think you have already had a learned opinion on this question in your other thread. Yes both the amplitude and beat error are poor and I would say based on that pic that it does need a service. A healthy 1120 would have an amp nearer 300 in most orientations.

Hello @padders yes I thought it would have been better to create a thread for only the issue with the movement, I will try to be more contained in one post next time, thanks for your reply.

Maybe you should buy a new timegraper first 😉

I don't know if that affects the results...

TBH even this results I would wear the watch without service especially if you have a 'watch rotation'

I have that model and it is a good idea to put tape over the metal clamp on one side otherwise it can scratch cases. No it shouldn't affect the results IMO.

The timgrapher is new, I put the tape not to scratch the watch 😀
This SMP will be my primary watch, so I think it would be best to have SPA time
