    Hi All

Looking for some more advice on what I think is a Bumper Movement belonging to my Brother in Law.

(Hypothesis currently based on shaking it :))

He's recently got it out of his sock draw and it seems to be ticking along nicely. Neither of us know enough about the model or if it's even all original and would like some info.

    Perhaps an early Seamaster?

Will attempt to get the back off later and post more pics.

    Any advice appreciated.

    Cheers

    Hi,
From the looks of it it is possibly an early seamaster ,dial looks ok to me but I will leave it to the more knowledgeable to make that call
We will need to see the movement to tell you more
Don’t try to remove the watch back yourself take it to a watchmaker

Leave the case alone as well don’t try to polish it if it is what I think with a little money spent could be a nice start in the vintage watch world

    good luck with it

Went to my local watchmaker and got the back off :)

Few pics of the inside for your perusal.

Keen to understand if it is a bumper and if the case is original.

All comments gratefully received as always.

    Cheers

Dial looks fine for an early Seamaster. Can’t see the movement caliber but I’m guessing 351. You should assume the movement needs service. 2577 case has been polished but could be worse. Crown is a later replacement but is the correct style.
