He buys different lots of jewelry and watches, and this happened to be in one of those lots. It's not in running condition sadly. I've seen some postings of this model online, but very few, and I can never get any idea how much it's really worth. My question is how much it may be possibly worth, and if it's worth getting serviced then selling? Thank you very much for all replies, any after info is welcome. Let me know if more pictures should be taken and posted.

Hello and welcome here. If you plan to sell it I wouldn't bother getting it serviced as it doesn't add that much value, compared to the costs. Value is around 350-400 Usd.

If you're not knowledgeable about watches, don't mess with it. Just put it on eBay as-is, with good photos, in a no-reserve auction with the same story you told here, and just be honest about how little you know. Collectors prefer to buy watches that haven't been tampered with by non-experts.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Can you define "knowledgeable" ? I definitely know about watches, your basic difference between quartz, automatic, manual wind etc. Are you meaning a deeper knowledge of models and movements and so forth?

I’d put the value in its current condition at more like $200. Might be worth a visit to a good vintage watch repair shop to see if they could get it running without a complete service. Assuming the cost of getting it running is not much more than $100, I think it would be easier to sell and a bit more profitable.

Thanks for the welcoming, I Appreciate it. So is this particular model not anything special? I could've sworn I had seen one of these sell for around 2,000 on eBay. The same dial and movement I believe. Now I could also just be wrong. I can't find the post on eBay, so I believe the listing has been removed since it was sold.

People who have watches that don’t run find it difficult to sell to people who only buy watches that run. And those who buy watches that don’t run, generally only buy them as donor watches, and won’t pay much. If you fix it, keep it. If you sell it, sell it as is. With full disclosure. Not running, I’d say a value of around $100 to $200. Prepare to spend $500 plus to get it fixed.
