    Hello guys,

This is my first post here and the reason is this reference number... 366.0858. Love at first sight with the integrated bracelet, dial, hands and case size.

I'm not that in to omega - that's why I registered.

I can't seem to find anyone for sale and I don't have much channels that can source vintage Omega. My questions...

Where should I look? And... What should I be extra carefull about? Is the movement still possible to service trough an Omega AD for example? And service parts, dial and hands...

And what is the difference between 366.0858 / 166.0251?

The reference is quite hard to google and I havn't found one for sale since 2016, so any help is appreciated. And... If you have one and want to sell, please let me know!

    Best wishes
    Christian

I believe the change in reference number to 366.xxxx was due to Omega upgrading their entire inventory classification system.

The top pic show the original dial and hand, I believe . The lower is a service dial and service hands.

Here's my 166.0251. Welcome to OF!

That's a really good one! And thank you.

Is it common to find these watches with tritium service dials and hands?

IMG_0085.JPG I picked one up recently after looking for around a year. They do come up but few and far between. Set up searches on eBay, I've seen one or two on there, also keep an eye on the fs section. My one has a replacement dial and hands, it's 50:50 really so you will find examples with original dial and hands. Here's mine, the case, bracelet and bezel were in such amazing condition that i didn't mind the replacement parts.

BTW, not really sure why as the watches were released during the same era, but the only 166.0250 is usually referred to as the Baby Ploprof. Different case and lacks the integrated bracelet.

Just to share this information, the bracelet was made by Chatelain company, which is owned by Chanel now.

"G&F Châtelain SA continues to expand and moves into new buildings, where Sandoz & Co also takes up residence. Diversification continues through the manufacture of metal bracelets. On June 8 of the same year, G&F Châtelain registered the Master "C" hallmark, testifying to a growing reputation and an easily identifiable quality label."

Chatelain is still making Chanel and Bell & Ross watches, and others...
