Can someone help me identify and date this watch I found at a thrift store?

The answer should be on the case back. Find a watchmaker to open it. Nice find

Thrift store says to me you bought it for a tenth of its value. I'd make a donation to equalize the karma.

As mentioned, the pertinent data is on the inside. I can tell you very early 50s likely gold-filled and 11/16" strap.

    You did good.

    The
    thanks. I got lucky.

I’ve seen some Omega Automatics with the 12 numerals like this online, dated to the late 40s, but those have a smaller dial at the bottom. What makes you say 1950s?

This thing has quite the clunk. The kinetic mechanism inside must be quite large. It’s also a little slow, though I haven’t worn it through a full day yet, but I suspect the insides are a bit dirty or the jewels are, I don’t know, old? (I’m new to watches, so forgive me for not knowing the terminology or mechanisms yet.)

Take it to a watchmaker and let’s us know what the movement and caseback say. Service it and wear it proudly :)

Looks similar to my 2446-1 in SS from 1948 with a 28.10 RA SC PC caliber
