A 'pappasmurf ' watch? Not a problem. Every day is a school day. I'm just glad I didn't miss something in the instructions.

Next time you buy an expensive watch, do a little reading so you actually know what you are buying. I hope by now you understand what a mechanical movement is and how the automatic winding works. The manufacture caliber 8500 is state-of-the-art and there is a tremendous amount of information available online.

USK - you'd be surprised at how often this stuff happens. Most of the time the n00b is more peeved about his $XXXX watch losing XX seconds a week, and this is only the second most frequent subject of this nature.

There won't be a next time. This is my first and last time I would do this. I knew exactly the 'style' and brand I wanted. Now I have ticked the box, I won't be repeating.
