100% agree. Almost every thread that I read he is trying to either troll people of become the centre of attention. Doesn’t appear to contribute much to this forum other than winding folk up.

No ETA unfortunately. I'm patient and not in a hurry. Besides, I scored a Small Seconds LE recently, so I've been enjoying that! ;)

I appreciate the assistance, but my OB is here in Virginia, USA. I was one of the last to get my order in before all units were allocated. I think the wait will continue for quite some time! :)

Got the call that mine will be here this week! Of course, it's the week I'm out of town. I put a full deposit on March 8th and know several people that put deposits later than that have already received theirs which leaves a sour taste with me. At this point, not sure I want the watch. I guess I'll go and look at it then decide.

Well, I will continue to wait but saving money with Jomashop - hate myself, but 17% off plus taxes is money that can be use elsewhere.

    Still have an allocation.

You seriously think the watch will be available at Jomashop with 17% discount? You are a dreamer

The event invite went out as a mass emailing and I responded fast, I guess. So I was just lucky to be looking at my personal email at that instant.

I rather not risk putting any money deposit in Jomashop, they don’t have the watch yet (will they ever??) and I feel it is more of a gimmick by them knowing how hot this model is (eg . check out views on chrono24 on it and compare the viewership on this with any other models) and drawing attention to their website. They probably will offer you something else to buy so that they make a sale of you eventually ( when they finally tell you sorry it is all sold out, or some other story that they will creatively invent)

Joma shop, bad. -Mongo (Blazing Saddles)

One wonders how perception of the Apollo 11 45th model would have been if more social media activities had been given to it? Like a Fratello event.

Not to say that there is BS type hype for the 50th anniversary models, but you do see that there are folks at Omega who want to support their fan base and try to get it right. No one is “phoning it in.” Reviving the 321. Updating the 861. Aligning the case-back. Etc. You may loathe the Buzz decent graphic, but Omega is proud of their ability to use a femto laser.

Now that I think about it, I didn’t see a 45th being worn last night. It was cool to see the 1/57 gold SMP, an Alaska III, an original Mark 2 and its original owner (no less)...

What do you mean by bad - mongo (blazing saddles)? I am not familiar with the slang, lingo.

Mongo is a character in the film Blazing Saddles (dir. Mel Brooks) played by Alex Karras who spoke in mainly monosyllabic English. Sort of like the Frankenstein monster.

You really think this is a gimmick. Do you really think they would subject themselves to be plastered on nearly every watch forum.
Jomashop is not as dodgy as many make out. I have been on forums for a long time and read many a thread on them and compared to how many watches they sell it’s a very small % that are not happy and there is always people that are not happy for no reason.
