Regarding the price of these in secondary, "asking price" does not equal "sale price". The only confirmed sale I see is this. Subtract ebay's 10% commission and the seller made a few hundred pounds profit. Not bad, but that's it.

Look at this on eBay

This was probably someone just hedging their bets on an early delivery watch. These watches will at least in the short term be bought and sold for way over the rrp, I have a firm dealer offer of 拢10k on mine which I'm likely to take next week.

Popped by the local AD to try and have a glimpse of the anniversary watches but only managed the Apollo 11 50th.

While i'm mostly a steel vintage type of guy, I was very pleasantly surprised with this one when on the wrist! The bracelet is really nice and comfortable and the light play on the gold bits contrasting with the black/grey is very nice too. 馃憤

Cheers,
Wow, thanks for sharing. I will be calling my OB immediately to ensure that they don't take mine out and let people wear it. In what country is this?

I don鈥檛 think that the OB would let just anyone see and handle a fully paid watch by a customer. If they are waiting for payment is another story, it is still theirs. I happened to see one of the Seamaster 300 that was waiting to be picked up and paid for when they just came out. My OB called me when they got mine but couldn鈥檛 pick it up until the next day so I just trust that they didn鈥檛 let anyone touch it.

I agree it is completely wrong to let someone try on someone elses watch. I was lucky enough to hold a gold 50th but they were clear it couldnt come out of the plastic bag it was in and I respected that.

On various occasions I've had an AD or OB offer to bring out a hard to get watch reserved for someone so I could look at it, but I'd never remove any plastic, wind it, play with the functions or even try it on. Just a look-see.

Same here, and while wearing gloves.
Don't do to others....

To be clear, I do not know if that particular watch was sold/reserved. I meant that the ones they had ordered were all sold/reserved (Just realized the mistake on my previous post).
This one was on display with a few other watches.

BTW I read here about people already flipping these immediately, what about the moonshine gold one on the Watch Sales right now for what appears to be a handsome premium? 馃槜

Same here. Never tried to remove any plastic or play with the buttons. It is someone else's property!

If I am reading this right there was an A11 50th anniversary just on display, not ordered by anyone, where was that?

Not entirely on topic, but seeign as its Apollo related i thought worth a shot. The snoopy 50th, is that likely to be annouced prior to the date of Apollo 13th, or could it be any time? ( my hope of landing the apollo 11 is disappearing ( 50th on the list in HK and 13th in Malaysia 馃槣)

Location? I am surprised they had one out on display. OBs are fully allocated. They should remain in the safe until they go through their list.
