I keep going through phases where the sub dial image bothers me a little as I prefer symmetry in my watches, I don't even like date windows.
This doesn't sound like you. 😉

I'll have to be careful not to put any finger prints on it, when it finally arrives. 😀

Having an image is understandable but does it change the watch from regular wearer/serious piece, to collectors trinket to be just looked at fondly on it's little lander display?

No I think it looks great, a brilliant place to display the watch, if I owned this LE I think I might keep the box and all accessories intact and away from sticky fingers, that way it is complete when the watch is passed down to the next generation. The watch would be kept in a separate watch box.

Are we there yet?
Could I ask if the crown is stiff to wind?
I remember the crown on my hesolite model taking the skin off my thumb and first finger.

It is a bit and hard to get hold off with my sausage fingers.
It oozes quality in my opinion

Almost... just remove the ugly plastic protection and start all over again. 😝

Thanks. I was hoping it would be a little easier with the new movement.

I think it’s all of the above. I thought my Rolex Pepsi would be for best but I wear it regular but this omega I’ll be honest I’m not sure what to do with it

I’m thinking of gifting it to my son so I’m leaving it be for now

No not up to now
To be honest I don’t think it will go up in value to much but I do think it will return retail price over the next couple of years.
Don’t shoot me down I’m only speculating

Thanks for the pics! You have the two watches I want. This and the Pepsi! This one I will be getting soon but that damn Pepsi is impossible.

Actually, I think that the sub dial is what makes this watch and definitely makes it worth wearing.

There really is very little out there that is unique these days. Even the elusive Rolex Pepsi is just a red and blue watch to most people. Don’t get me wrong, it’s my grail but from a few feet away, it doesn’t look that much different from my Seiko SKX. I even had a guy who was wearing a Pepsi point at mine and say “we have the same watch.” You should have seen his face when I raised my arm and showed him my Seiko lol.

This watch is really unique and historically significant and interesting. It is a great story and conversation piece for watch enthusiasts and non watch people. I can’t wait to wear mine and be different!
