Pure conjecture on your part, the one offered is above the original price but no one knows if the price will drop much under the original selling price. It could go a little higher, maintain its value, or go down, no one knows at this point.
This is true - who knows. I do suspect the 10k (Sterling) price is a little ambitious however. Purely for those that need the first I suspect. Lots of watches to come (including mine).
Past experience I guess with the first being ramped up. Who knows, but it’s a fairly common thing these days until they settle down....
No-one knows for sure, but I'm going to hazard a bet that these will be above RRP for some time to come.
Nothing in a twist here, just interested in the direction of the conversation and the speculation around the cost of the watch from here on.
Maybe so, but 10 grand? I really can’t see it. No one will be happier than me, but that’s madness. Sorry. That said, I buy to wear unlike some.
Why not? This is a great anniversary watch and from what I hear it is sold out across the world. But, as you say, buy to wear and enjoy. I'm getting the gold one with an option on the stainless steel. Just hoping the gold one comes first because it looks awesome too.
Fair enough. But this ain’t a snoopy. For a start there are 7k of them. there are one or two watches at that price. The rest are way lower. The example is a normal someone with 10 grand. Do they buy a Rolex sub/gmt grey, or an omega at the same price? Hard sell. Why it probably won’t happen.
It looks like some are getting their panties in a bunch over an asking price of £10K, it's worth noting that so far they have only sold for rrp.
I don't think anyone thought the Snoopy would run away in terms of price when they came out though? The market place can be so unpredictable. But got to be in it to win it!
You are correct, it is. But most of the watch buying masses outside of here don’t know and likely couldn’t care whether it was 50 years ago. They are bloody great looking watches, but let’s not pretend that many outside of us lot really bother too much about it.
Well, they've only sold to those who were allocated them for £7k. It will be interesting to see how prices change over the next few weeks and months.
I'm not sure about that. The historical significance of landing on the moon has certainly interested many folk I've met recently. You can tell great stories about this watch and I reckon that will help it maintain its value in the years to come.
Correct. It will be interesting to follow what Watchfinder pay for the watches and what they in turn ask for them.
