Watch people

Has anyone any experience of, or even better some photos of the official omega blue alligator on the 2018 300m.

It looks beautiful but so hard to find any real photos of it online on the watch itself.

It is pricey so I don’t want to get it unless I am sure it will be worn

Fancy leather strap on a dive-watch? It's your watch, but that sounds like a huge stylistic mismatch to me.

Omega makes black and blue alligator/rubber straps on a few of their Planet Oceans. I believe they're a rubber straps with alligator inlay, so they can go into the water without damaging the strap. They actually looks pretty nice IMO.

The planet ocean version seems to fit snug into the lug where as this one I don’t think fits in the same way, very hard to see photos of it

Personal I prefer the snug fit plus like the rubber strap with alligator inlay for going in the water.
But definitely go with what works better for you and your taste. Here's a pic of my PO with snug to lug rubber strap which is very comfortable.

Why not pair diver with alligator. As was already mentioned above, Omega dose it with Planet Ocean. I do not like approach, that diver is for diving so does not work with elegant straps. Cmon - it's just a watch. And if you like it - why not. BTW - alligator is generally aquatic animal 😉

Here my SMP with hand mada grey alligator with white stiching.

Beaver tail or ostrich will also look nice on a diver IMHO;
