This omega Geneve admiralty st 135.0042. What can this ultra rare watch have for market value today ? The watch is on nos condition. The watch in the URL is the same model as The one i wonder aboute http://www.tz-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=143339
I'm not sure valuations are allowed here (they're not in most forums), but I've seen the Admiralty watch for sale a few times before and while not NOS the price was around €300 if I remember well. Do you have pictures of yours ?
ok, made a note of that. Couldn't find a "presentation" topic but sure glad to find an Omega forum, there used to be a nice "Omega Vintage" one from the UK I think but it's been "coming back soon" for a good year now :-(
I have not bought it yet, thats why i am asking for advise. I have no pictures but it has never been used and has the sticker left at the back. No box and no cert. And he wants 1750 usd
Wow, this is way over the top IMHO (the one on eBay sold for €400 in 2010 and the one on Tz-Uk for £600), but as always a sale only needs a seller and a buyer who agree on the price. If for some reason that watch is dear to your heart (owned by a relative in the past for instance) and you can spare the cash, why not, but if you need to sell it I don't think you'd get more than $1000 for it. Just my 2 cents.
My rule of thumb is this - for NOS premium over an average example is 100-200% with the lower premium for less desirable watches and the higher one for the sought after models (such as a cal. 321 speedmaster).
Mind you it has gone pretty north of that at times, there was a NOS condition CK2915 Speedmaster go for nearly 100k at Christies not that long ago.
That 100k if the watch was truly NOS is a bargain. I agree, for the desirable models, you are talking about much higher premiums and I think for vintage omega you are talking about the moonwatch in this regard.
