Omega 9900 - Balance only rotates in one direction, then springs back into place

Hi All - beginner here. This is an issue I will likely send to my watchmaker to have fixed, but wanted to post here first to see if anyone had experience with it.

After dropping my Speedmaster Racing (from about 2-3 feet onto carpet), the watch would tick only for a few seconds until shaken gently to get the rotor wound again. This went on for a few minutes before it stopped altogether. Looking at the movement now, the balance can freely rotate counter clockwise, but when released springs back to the position it started in. It cannot rotate clockwise at all. The watch is wound, and the hands are stuck in position. The crown can still be pulled out and the time set. See video below - sorry for the poor quality. Any ideas here? Thanks, Greg

Looks like the impulse jewel has jumped out of the pallet fork and is stuck on the outside of the fork.
I'd be a very good idea to stop poking the balance area with a tool and get it to a watchmaker so the balance can be re-set.

Thanks for the comment Jim - I’ll definitely bring it to someone with more experience than myself soon. Cheers!

I've seen this with tangled hairsprings (two different watches, both SW200). On a good shock, an outer hairspring loop can get stuck inside an inner one. Both came back to life by manipulating the balance wheel; no need to touch the hairspring. YMMV
