Hi,

I'm new to the Forum and not a watch expert but this old SB/159 A14175 Omega has caught my eye. Before I bid for it at a local auction, I wondered what the servicing cost might be and if anyone had any general comments about the supposed 'Military Issue Model". Thanks and really interesting going down the Forum 'wormhole'!

Hard to see the unfocused photos. More and better photos including straight on focused dial and movement will facilitate review and discussion

The photos are absolutely awful and impossible to evaluate. However, I think the issued watches were center-second. Do some research on them.

Case back engraving looks sketchy based on posted images.

Also doubtful printing (quite bold) and not clear if there’s a recessed sub second dial or it’s drag on the dial from the seconds hand

Hi definitely do research before buying anything, the only original thing could be the case back but hard to tell with that photo, originals have centre seconds blued hands and Swiss made on the bottom under the 6, the hands on that look more like hands from a omega www dirty dozen, case and movement could be correct but hard to tell, the dial hands and crown are wrong.
