I too have one of these end links that came from my father in laws 105.012 that he bought in Geneva in the 60’s. One link had the 6 in the correct orientation the other has it upside down. I offered them for sale as a pair and was told under pain of death that the “9” link was fake, despite the font being correct and the link showing signs of wear consistent with that seen on the watch. I sold the “genuine” link and retained the “9” as I was never fully convinced that it wasn’t some genuine error in the manufacture process. mum still none the wiser. will try and get some decent pics later

I also look at the shape of the ending. Honestly, the recess for the pin is of a different shape. the ending 6 is long and narrow. The rounded recess is usual at the ends 16 and 516. By recess I mean the slot useful for compressing the spring of the bracelet holding pin. You don't believe?
