This 1960 552 movement is running pretty well on the wrist averaging -8.2 s/d when worn 24/7 over 30 days. I put it on the Weishi 1900 timegrapher in 6 positions using the proper 49 degree lift angle. I noticed huge discrepancies when in the 9 up and 12 up positions. Do these results suggest some particular mechanical issue that should be assessed by a watchmaker? Generally I have no issue with a 65 year old movement losing 8.2 s/d but I want to be proactive in keeping it from deteriorating.

Looks like the watch is in a great shape and the amplitude is excellent. Assuming this is fully wound. Let it run 24 hours and recheck the rates.
You can probably have it adjusted to run closer to 0/d.

I'm not sure I would call those huge discrepancies.
