·Good evening,
aaaand on I go, selling off some pieces of my watch drawer - my wife shall be proud.
For sale here is an early 1950s two-tone dial Omega bumper automatic 2637, the larger 35mm variant of this case style with a spectacular copper-colored patina, steel case and gold furniture.
The Watch
Omega Bumper Automatic
Reference: 2637
Movement: cal. 354 automatic
Serial: 13364639
Year: 1952
Case: 35mm stainless steel
Dial: depending on the light, red-brown-copper-colored, heavily patinated. Cross-hair, gold indices, hands and applied Omega-logo.
Strap: Brown leather, vintage stitching
Price: 490€
Condition
Dial & Hands: Original dial, heavily patinated. I tried my best to depict the changing color in the sunlight - never seen anything like it. At the very center, the original, white color of the dial shows. Some lighter spots here and there. Cross hair fully intact, with a warm brown to copper color. Swiss made clearly visible. Hands and indices are in good shape and really pop in the light. I have absolutely no clue how it turned this color.
Case: Original 35mm stainless steel case in very good condition. Case had sharp edges and displays the original brushing, also on the case back. Lugs are polished and show clear edges where they’re attached at the case. Hardly any scratches.
Crown: Original Omega crown which I believe is correct for the ref. Omega-logo on the crown clearly visible.
Crystal: Generic crystal in very good condition.
Movement: Original cal. 354 automatic in clean condition. It’s the development of the cal. 351, introduced in 1952, if I’m not mistaken, so this should be one of the earlier 354s. It starts quickly, runs well, sets buttery smooth, keeps good time. Service history is unknown, though. Serial dates the watch to 1952.
Strap: Light brown leather with cream contrast stitching.
Seller Reviews
Plenty reviews available here, but either my username is too short to use the search function for that or I’m not handling the forum software eloquently enough, which is entirely possible. Anyway:

I’m also happy to provide multiple positive feedback on another watch forum, as well as a verification through my eBay-account that has been standing for 19 years, with >1900 reviews, 100% positive. Please do ask.
Payment, Shipping & Returns
Payment is accepted via PayPal F&F, bank transfer, Transferwise or cash in person. A coffee would be included in a personal transaction.
I'm asking
490€
The watch is located in Germany. Tracked and insured shipping is usually
6€ nationally
16€ within the EU/GB/Switzerland
~50€ to the rest of the world
Happy to ship wherever, get in touch and I'm sure we can figure something out.
No returns unless I misrepresented the watch in any way.
If there are any questions, please do reach out. And, as always, thanks @OF for the space!
Here are a lot of pictures - my apologies, it’s just that a) I couldn’t stop as it’s as hard as it’s fun to photograph this chameleon, and b) I wanted to show as many facets as possible. Pictures aren’t enhanced in any way, if you’d like further just reach out! 😀
Note how the color changes with the light in a different angle, the inner circle being either brighter or darker than the outer one:
And a short video:
