Can anyone provide some history or feedback on this watch? I've been looking for something from the 40s in a jumbo size with blue hands. I found this in addition to a Spillman cased Unversal Geneve with similar prices.

I bekieve these are 38mm which is important for my 8" wrist, lol. This is a one owner watch obtained by a dealer from the original owners estate. Appears to be in amazing original condition.

Thoughts?

Hello,

For me something's off with the font dial : "Es" are not the same, "TACHYMETRE" is a bit shaken...and some words are kind of blurred to me.

Not an expert but looks like a redial. Also overall seems off, with the case and hands as well.

please check how it should look, comparable reference photo.

I also saw this watch. What I’ll say is that there are remarkable similarities (scratches on pusher, hand discoloration) between this watch and a watch the dealer posted previously which has the same dial variant but with significant dial degradation. The white space on the outer edge of the dial also throws me off, in addition to the remarkable condition (especially for asking price).

The seller has some good watches but also some questionable watches - but - as far as I was asking - always stating all original.

I would vote for redial too.

7k euro

Then I'd say defo redial...and the seller knows it too. The pictures are pretty low res though so it's not such an easy call for me, but as was mentioned above there are some discrepencies in the lettering amongst other things

It’s funny how sellers often neglect to state redial and yet offer the watches at a redialed (or close) price. As if that helps earn trust? Helps them feel better about the sale?

Indeed, very funny. Very unfortunate some are tricked into buying these without appropriately disclosed information.

Not a bad redial if it is one. I’d ask for a macro photo and look at the fletching on the arrow, they usually butcher that detail. The hands are all replacements IMO, if they were original the watch would be more coherent.

I am not an Omega expert, but this looks like a redial, to me. The sub-dials stand out as atypical, with unusually narrow railroad tracks. Also, the green pulsations scale appears to have uneven/inconsistent printing.

Someone accused this seller for fraud on IG. He sold 30mm watch as 33mm and refused the return because everything is original on the watch ::facepalm1::

He is also selling a 34mm watch as caliber 33.3/15tl insisting it's a cal 33.3.

Though the watch is really really nice:

He also had a redialed tdmp for sale insisting original dial - sadly no pics online anymore. Leads me to him knowing what's going on.

Other than that he sometimes has really outstanding watches.

Just a pitty things like this are not good for the reputation.

To me the huge blank space around the circumference of the dial is odd to me, usually this means that the dial is refinished or transplanted as this section would be covered up behind a bezel. If it is refinished it's been done to a high standard, I just feel lke it's missing some detail on that outer edge, or the whole / movement / dial / hand combination belonged to a different watch case with a fuller bezel.

I know I'm pretty late to the party here, but has anyone else ever seen divots in the pulsations scale before?

No, this is what I was referring to.
