    The red star on the dial on these "Teddington" models meant that these watches were only marketed in Brazil. If the case is not engraved with one of those numbers, it is not a Teddington.

    Teddington refers to the British observatory competition held in 1940. Omega won that competition with some specially tuned versions of the 30mm movement that is also used in these watches. However, to my knowledge, there is no difference between these movements and any other 30mm non-chronometer movements that Omega used outside of Brazil.

    The red star was not only used on the 3 models mentioned in the Brazilian AD, it was also used on other models, e.g. ref. 2242,
