For ‘Watch Collectors’, some models have an indescribable beauty, combining both superlatively simple design, with high precision engineering.
This barely ‘Post War’ Omega is just such an example, a rebirth of horological excellence, immediately following a very dark period in European history

This ‘Jumbo cased’ Omega, is extremely hard to find in the overall condition shown here.

The Omega calibre 30 T2 SC, from 1946, remains one of the finest ‘in house’ watch movements ever conceived. A direct descendant of the lergendary Caliber 30, created in ‘39, this movement is one of the main reasons for Omega’s industry leading success in the 40's.

The case is in immaculate condition, no dents, no scratches, and no enthusiastic over polishing.

At 37.5 mm excluding the winding crown, this watch always wore ‘large’ on the wrist – Many contemporaries were barely 30 - 32mm.
The Omega still creates superb visual impact, nearly 70 years later, even in a modern age of over size watches.

The dial was refinished in the past , with tiny and barely perceptible marks of patina.

Arabic numbers, classic blue leaf second, minute and hours hands, lending this watch a unique elegance, & character.

Full service executed in March 2014, The Cal 30T2 SC keeps very accurate time with a strong power reserve

Watch head is accompanied by a brand new, very good quality, grey ‘Croco’ leather strap with an original Omega buckle in stainless steel.

Vintage was very helpful with this transaction and patient with a first time paranoid buyer. He was professional and quick to reply to any questions from the buyer. I would recommend him to anyone.
