Greetings. So I am in search period correct parts namely the crown and crystal for my 2998-61. My understanding is the period correct crown is the 45009. Can anyone confirm this?

Also what is period correct crystal part number?

Anyone know where best to find these?

I don't think you are going to find an "old glass" for sale and you still need the silver retaining ring for 2998s.

I was looking at Otto Frei and saw that the crown is Omega part #43018 and crystal is part #PZ5078. However, I am unsure whether these are service parts or the original components. Thoughts?

PZ5078 is the correct crystal for a 2998, though it is a modern version (but that's ok in my opinion).

The original crowns are much harder.. there were some on ebay no long ago for £300 each. They don't come up very often. The modern ones are around but have the newer, rounder logo.

For sure these are Service parts.

If you Need a new ( old crown) you must know the measurements......those parts are not easy to find and expensive.
