Hi to all!
I saw today this Omega Seamaster 2990 gold plated, cal 267 to a local antic shop.
The crown is not original neither the plexiglas does not have the omega sign.
The hour hand has missing the lume.
The watch is running, but needs a revision.
On top of that, the manager of the store, without being a clockmaster, has wash the dial, destroying the beautiful patina.
The asking price is 750 USD, IMHO is to high, because is not a Ranchero, but maybe I'm wrong.
Here is the pictures made by me.
Cheers!

Have one of those.

The case seems to be in okay condition, the gold is often worn of the lugs. The dial looks washed and the text look redone.

“Beautiful patina”? You mean “ugly dirt and damage”, right?

Dial doesn’t look bad to me, but I don’t think it’s original.

What happened to the case back? Engraving obliterated? Perhaps stolen?

I don't know how was before cleaning, but I think original condition is the best choice.
The case back is ok. What you see in the last picture is the glue from the price tag, who was actually a stiker.
Anyway, I don't like the dial, this watch is not for me.

Possibly corrosion from a one piece nylon strap if it isn't sticker residue.
