Omega 2790-4 Honeycomb worth to buy?

Hi everyone,

I soon have a nice Geneva as my very first vintage / first Omega watch coming up.
No, not my first watch. But can still count with one hand...
Because of the (for me) high value, I'll probably not be wearing it too often.
I'm looking for something I won't be scared to wear and have a scratch or a dent. I've seen this one, but I don't know if it would be worth its price. I have a weakness for a honeycomb dial, but can't afford to spend another +1k. Would it be worth its money or does it have too many no-no's?
Also take in mind I might have to pay custom as the seller is from Argentina and I'm living in Germany...

I consider myself noob of the noobs and there might be lots of things I don't see and/realize.
All feedback is welcome. 馃榾

Have a nice weekend,
Julien.

EDIT: as more as I start looking at it, as more as I start to see thing being (very) wrong... I'll first let the more experienced have a look at it before I say anything. 馃槜

Excuse me...
I was considering it, but as I couldn't download the pictures from eBay (at least not from the app on the phone), I assumed the picture quality from a screen capture wouldn't be of any help.
... anyway, I kind of see what's wrong with it and even for the price it's not really to be considered. My biggest concern was indeed the re-painted Omega, not even being centered...

I'd post one more I've spotted, but I kind of have the feeling these kind of posts are not that welcome. In a way I can understand.
On the other hand, one has to start somewhere. Like I said I'm really at the very beginning of what for you guys might be the most obvious thing on earth.
Maybe I need to do more research before I ask advice...

Anyway, have a nice evening. 馃槈

Welcome

You are at the spot to learn.....plenty of threads with plenty of pictures with plenty of information for a beginner.

And, yes, as in most things in life, best to have some knowledge from study and research.

Small watch at 32 mm. Crown not original and as mentioned dial

Not worth the price

Also. Poor pictures. When I see that. I feel seller is trying to hide things

There is also a private sales forum here where collectors often sell watches. And a thread where the owner of the site recommends watches he finds on eBay.

Thank you for the tips, Dan! I'm indeed looking at these now and keeping an eye on it. These will be the most thrustful channels to find a safe buy at an honest price, especially for a beginner.
