I wonder if i can use a 268 balance and 286 parts likes wheels and upper bridges on the 268 movement plate. Have a franken built movement with balance that has brass impulse soldered on. Had a broken staff. I bought one but soon as i found the brass is stopped. Instead of normal jewel . I Have found a 268 movement . But wonder if i can transfer the parts from the 286 to the 268 plate . The 286 movement now has two different kinds of shocksprings . @Asher

You’re likely looking for the person who has managed to assemble one watch out two different movements. In particular, these two. I would suggest with an immense amount of skill, and a well equipped shop, you might be able to pull it off. But I suspect that you might be better off to locate a complete running movement of the caliber you hope to end up with, and buy it.

If i could. the 268 and 286 is in the same serie . And look pretty much the same except for the subsecond on the 268 and the 286 has a center sweep second . Therefore there is a pinion and a wheel on the trainwheel bridge. http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?10&ranfft&2&2uswk&Omega_268

I downloaded the spare parts list from cousinuk now . Can see that it's not the same number on the 268 and 286 .
    267 is 260.1000
and 286 is 286.1000 so my guess is they are compatible. Even if they look the same.

The part numbers will tell you. If the prefix (movement) number is different in the part number, then the parts are different.
