·Dear members of the OMEGA Forums,
I have recently purchased my first vintage Omega watch - a vintage seamaster ref. 14389 with a cal. 268 movement. Unfortunately I haven't got any images of the movement, but from the images I personally received from the seller, the watch can be dated to C. 1961. (serial number in the 18,000,000s). As a new member of this forum I was looking for a second opinion with regards to the authenticity of this piece. The crystal has indeed been replaced and lume has been reaplied to the hands, but other than that I have not been able to identify anything unusual.
Secondly, I am on the lookout for a compatible Beads of Rice bracelet. Either an original Omega, or a generic straight end-link bracelet. Are there any pieces of advice or authenticity concerns worth noting when picking up an original bracelet for this watch?
Kind regards,
Oliver H.
