Hello,

I've the possibility to buy that watch

Movement seems ok, seller says works accurate. Seller also means that the dial is all original, also the case.

What do you think? Is that real.

Seller told me to make an offer. What is reasonable?

Thanks for help

I won’t comment on the watch face and case and movement condition.

I don’t know enough about this calibre but it looks to be in such nice condition for a seventy year old watch that I suspect it’s been case polished and dial refurbished at some stage. Others will be better placed to advise.

However, if you like it and want to buy it and need a valuation to make an offer, my general starting point would be eBay 'Omega cal 265' and check the 'sold listings'.

Personally, I’m not one of those who would never wear a refurbished watch. My approach is generally, if I like it and would enjoy wearing it go for it!

Good luck

Looks like a nice original example.

I don't seen any evidence that it's been polished, the back of the lugs in particular still have nice crisp edges and facets.

All good. Original dial as well. I'd use case screws to secure the movement in the case. Go for it. Price you have to know, what you want to spend. Kind regards. Achim

Movement is secured by the tabbed spacer ring.

If the crown is original that’s nice.
Silver furniture on steel is always a plus.
